American Gypsum Company, a subsidiary of Eagle Materials, manufactures, sells, and distributes gypsum drywall (also known as wallboard) products. One of the largest producers of gypsum wallboard in the US, the company annually produces nearly 4 billion sq. ft. of the stuff from its plants in Albuquerque and Bernalillo, New Mexico; Gypsum, Colorado; Duke, Oklahoma; and its newest construction facility in Georgetown, South Carolina (opened 2007). It also has reload centers in Arizona, California, and Illinois, and operates gypsum mines near its production facilities.
